Smithwick’s Red Ale from Ireland
September 11, 2007 | 1 Comment
We have a new Irish pub in town and we stopped by there tonight for a pint. My genealogy is Irish, so drinking ale from the motherland is in my genes. A friend suggested the Smithwick’s Red Ale, which upon ordering I discovered is pronounced Smit-icks. Of course I had to look it up when I got home to see the history and also to find out if it is the equivalent of PBR here in the states. Apparently it is not, it is the third largest brew in Ireland. Good to know. It is quite good. I highly recommend it.
Does anyone know of a Cork’d type site for beer?
