Hello,

My name is Michael Krisher. Most people call me Mike. I grew up in the midwest but have lived all over the US. From the East Coast to the Pacific Northwest. Recently, my family has settled back into Cincinnati, OH during these overwhelming pandemic times.

I've been developing websites and mobile apps for over two decades. My career began when Yahoo was still a directory of the web. It was lucky timing. I was there at the beginning and have been involved ever since. The crazy exciting thing about writing code and building the internet is that there is always something new to learn. It is a fascinating industry. Just as fascinating as the technologies are the people and process problems we face, and hopefully solve to some extent.

Over the last decade, I have been leading teams developing applications, products, and platforms. I've accomplished plenty to be proud of both personally and professionally. I've obviously made some mistakes that I'm not entirely proud of as well. I'm sorry. I'm human. I'm learning while spinning on this big mudball the same as everyone else.

I've been fortunate enough to work at small companies in the early stages with no budget and also a fortunate 500 company with very large budgets. Every company and scenario has pros and cons. Each has problems to work through and that is what I enjoy. The technical problems and the people problems.

This site is where I write about my experiences. I'm more of a reader of books than I am a writer on the internet, but from time to time I feel like I have something to share that others may be able to benefit from.

Thanks for reading,
Mike
